Stroke is considered to be one of the most common causesof death and disability in the adult population in the world.A significant portion of patients remain physically disabled,in addition to being cognitively impaired, despiterehabilitation. A reason for this is, amongst others, reducedmotivation for rehabilitation in people after stroke. It isassumed that cognitive (executive dysfunctions, health locusof control, and anosognosia) and emotional (depressiondisorders occur after a stroke) factors along with socialsupport may influence motivation for rehabilitation. Thus, it was decided to include these in this work. The aimof the study was to determine the influence of these factorson the motivation for rehabilitation in people after stroke.
